Any help with this is appreciated. I'm sure it's an easy fix but I can't figure it out myself.
My laptop connects to the ps4 perfectly. Recenty, I moved to a new place and I have zero connection in my bedroom so I got a wi-fi booster.
The problem I have is whenever the laptop is connected to the wi-fi booster, the Plex app won't seem to run on the ps4. It tells me the subnet on the ps4 and the connection (the wi-fi booster) are different. Plex doesn't show up on the smart tv or under the media player section of the ps4 either.
The ip address seems to be same (when I check Command Prompt) with and without the wi-fi booster so I can't figure out what exactly the ps4 is having difficulty with. If anyone has any solution to this it'd be great
remote access isn't an option for me at the moment. It requires me to sign into my internet access and I lost my password and don't want to have to reset everything
I'd rather not drag my external hard drive up and down every time I want to watch something, which is why I'd rather have it in my room
